Book Review: The Forever Home

Power couple Carly and Mark seem to have everthing going for them, fame, money, and success by coasting along the influencer trend long before it caught on like wildfire in social media. And oh, a gorgeous cliff-side home overlooking the Atlantic Ocean in Cornwall. Outwardly, their picture-perfect facade of a life of domestic bliss has been a source of much media attention, but look closer and the cracks start to show, and the unspeakable secrets they have been hiding threatens to blow up on the night of their 25th wedding anniversary when realisation dawns on Carly that Mark may be having an affair with someone else, upending her life and forcing her to move on, only to soon find she hasn't escaped hers as much as she's locked herself up with them. The Forever Home is a crisp psychological thriller as it's a strong tale about survival, with Sue Watson unveiling each revelation of some new betrayal with surgical precision en route to a bittersweet finale.
