Music Review: Saina (Hindi)
Composer(s): Amaal Mallik

In Chal Wahin Chalein, Amaal Mallik concocts a poignant melody that's complemented by Shreya Ghoshal's excellent vocals. Parinda works exceedingly well as a soaring rock banger propelled along by anthemic riffs, with Mallik delivering an impassioned rendition that's downright triumphal. Evoking an aesthetic reminiscent of Pritam in the 2000s, Main Hoon Na Tere Saath is as much a showcase for its downtempo, mellifluous arrangement as it is for Armaan Malik's heartfelt croon. Hall of Mirrors plays out like a gentle breeze, providing a serene contrast to the energy that dominates elsewhere. The album, however, belongs to The Curse of a Champion, a stunner of an ambient instrumental that cascades through a lush meadow of harmonies, before climaxing in a thudding crescendo of sorts. Amaal Mallik delivers the goods with Saina.
