Sean Roldan's singing and rousing lyrics from Gautham Vasudev Menon and Vivek are the highlight of Edhuvaraiyo, but Anirudh's tune, its melodious soundbed aside, is at best passably enagaging. Kalyaana Vayasu is catchy, in a fleeting, typical Anirudh way, complete with his laid-back singing, while Thittam Poda Theriyala recalls to mind Gaali Vaaluga, even as the tune rides on a lovely blend of sitar (Kishore) and synthesised sounds. The electronic influences continue to make their presence felt in Gun-In Kadhal, a frenetic number rendered by Vijay Yesudas (who is back in an Anirudh soundtrack after Nee Paartha Vizhigal), closing out with a catchy hook that forms the centrepiece of Arunraja Kamaraj-sung Kabiskabaa Coco - The Gibberish Song. Anirudh gifts himself the album's best Orey Oru, and accompanied by Jonita Gandhi on the vocals, the pretty guitar-backed (Keba Jeremiah) melody is a keeper. Kolamaavu Kokila's music is nothing groundbreaking, but quirky and fun it definitely is.
